offlineimap 6.3.4+ marks messages executable?

Hi,

I noticed that the mails in my Maildirs are marked +x after August 20,
where Arch Linux updated[1] offlineimap 6.3.3 to 6.3.4:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 chris users     8359 Aug 20 12:12 1313835159...
-rw-rw-r-- 1 chris users   554065 Aug 20 12:12 1313835159...
-rwxrwxr-x 1 chris users     2670 Aug 21 13:02 1313924549...*
-rwxrwxr-x 1 chris users     5777 Aug 21 13:02 1313924549...*

Since the files are already +x when in new/, I assume that this is
offlineimap's fault.

Is there any good reason for this?  What do I need to change to reset
the mode for new mails?
