Nametrans issues

So I actualy wrote up a huge email describing the issue I have, but I
lost it due to ignoring error messages from vim :(  The short version
is:

Can someone help me with the Python required to store the initial
(client to server) nametrans values so that the reverse nametrans
merely reads from a file (json?) and then Just Works?  I understand
that this would not work if I create folders locally.
