configuration file format and parsing

Hello, 

I was surprised by a "bug" with my configuration of
offlineimap. 

My configuration file was incorrectly read because I had
one option which was not at the beginning of the line. 

It seems that
the parser sees lines beginning with spaces as continuation of preceding
line. 

Is that intended ? Is it documented ? 

A prominent notice on
example files could be useful. 

I use offlineimap 6.3.4-1 from debian
testing.
