2 bug reports: cron job creating multiple instances; display problems

Dear all,

I'm seeing some strange behaviour using offlineimap 6.5.4 on Debian Testing
(Jessie).

I run offlineimap from a cron job with the line

*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/offlineimap -k ui=Noninteractive.Quiet &> /dev/null

I was under the impression that offlineimap would allow only one instance
of itself to run, but on my system I often find multiple instances -
sometimes as many as twenty.

Is this unexpected behaviour? If so, what might explain it?

The terminal display when running offlineimap with the Curses.Blinkenlights
UI is corrupted - the display is shaky and fails to respond to user input
and leaves the terminal messed up. I seem to remember from a previous
Google search a while back that this might have something to do with the
version of python-urwid (my version is 1.1.1-1) but the problem remains on
my system.
