Sorry, hadn't noticed your first message.  You should set readonly
to True for the repository you don't want to be changed in any way.
This works for all repository types.

It is said in the bundled offlineimap.conf that contains explanations
about all configuration items, but I agree that HTML documentation
should also have some pointers to this.  Will try to fix it in some
way.
