Hi,

It was agreed some time ago that we would be quite liberal about accepting members to the packaging team https://alioth.debian.org/projects/openstack/ . But that becoming an administrator was something else. However we did not define what the process would be. I'm not sure we should define a policy but we could informally agree on something anyway. I was thinking that all Admins should be people actively involved in the making of the OpenStack packages. At the moment all admins have indeed been active in the past three months, which is good. If someone temporarily looses interest or do not have the time to care for the packages, (s)he could step down and become a regular member.

The primary reason why I'm bringing this topic up is that I think it would be fair to grant the Admin status to Mehdi Abaakouk. He has shown dedication to packaging and is working to become a Debian Maintainer. More importantly, he will be involved with OpenStack professionaly for the time being and this is an asset we greatly need.

Please let me know what you think
