Having a 2nd look, it doesn't seem to be a blocking bug. Just provide an
image when you boot from volume, so that it uses the kernel and initrd
from it, and that's it. Any Debian image would do if your volume VM is
Debian based...

Though I agree it would be nice to be able to use whatever is installed
on the VM for the kernel and ramdisk (which seems to be fixed for the
forthcoming Grizzly release), this isn't blocking at all. Just annoying.
