Why don't you just re-create a repository under python-team/modules,
clone our repo, and push there? There's going to be some work to be done
to move to pristine-tar anyway, so you will have to re-do a new Git
repository from scratch, so just moving the repo isn't an option
(OpenStack uses a Git tag workflow, while DPMT insist on using
pristine-tar...).

We used to care, then vmware-nsx started gathering bugs, and upstream
didn't respond much, so we just asked for its removal. I don't think
Debian is about supporting non-free platforms, even less OpenStack, so I
don't think we loose anything.
