You found a bug in GNU Parted.  Please email a bug report to
address at hidden the
version (1.6.15), and the following message: (actually, fdisk reports that
partition 1 has different logical/physical endings, so maybe it's
not a parted bug; this is a 32 MB Verbatim USB flash storage device).

Assertion ((C * heads + H) * sectors + S == A) at disk_dos.c:495 in function
probe_partition_for_geom() failed.



Another bug was resolved by B.Hakvoort at Thu, 02 Feb 2006 18:19:15 +0100:

try upgrading to the latest libparted (1.6.25.1) and gparted (0.2) .
