[parted-devel] DISCUSS: Script-friendly interface

Hello developers and users of GNU Parted,

  one of the features most wanted in 'parted', the CLI of
libparted, is an interface showing information in a way easily parseable
by scripts.  Since this is a thing that should be drafted most
diligently (scripts have a hard time adjusting, as opposed to users), we
need a solid base concept to start with.

  Things to discuss:

  1) in what way will the information be accessible?

  2) what information is most necessary?

  3) what format offers the both most solid and flexible way to present
     the information?

And as usual, please shout out loud is you wish to partitipate in the
coding itself.
