Hmm.. in addition to the above, I've pushed an empty patch with this:

  patches/master/partprobe-makefile-inc-fix
  Arrange for "make distcheck" to be stricter.

Seems to have been provoked by using git commands from an
in-progress-stgit dir.  I'll be careful not to do that again.
