[parted-devel] Filesystem type in partition table

Hi List,

I have a query in filesytem type in partition.
When parted prints out ms-dos type partition table, to detect the filesystem for each partition it 
seems to read two sectors from starting of the partition sector number + 2. The data seems to be stored in 
ext2_super_block then checks for s_magic with various fs_types. Is it correct ?
In that case copy of superblock is stored in every partition ?
