Hi Olaf,

Thanks for the patch!

It may well be perfect, but it'd also be a lot easier for people to
evaluate if you can say or show how parted malfunctions without
your patch.  Ideally, your patch would add a test case, but if you
aren't inclined, someone here will write it.
I'm hoping you can help out a little more...
