These 9 change-sets plug many leaks and fix one write-uninitialized error. There are still leaks and "ERRORS" reported by running the tests under valgrind, but most of those involve ext2, which is lower priority, for now. [create partition tables and partitions, not *file systems* with parted] "make distcheck" still passes. I'll push tomorrow.
