Technically, yes, but if most other major partitioning tools accept
such characters and write them to disk using the multi word encodings,
and can read them back, then I'd be in favor of following suit in the
name of improved functionality and interoperability. I just don't
think we should start doing that first, and then the other tools
rightly reject the encodings as invalid.
