[Parted-maintainers] Bug#374001: Etch-Installtion | Partman doesn´t recognize partitions => no installation possible

Can you explain me, how I can get the log-files from my notebook to my pc?

The linux partitions are empty. I created them with fdisk and tried to
install Debianon these partitions.

No. I have only Windows XP on my notebook.

When I start parted from a Knoppix-CD, there are the following errors:

Information: The operating system thinks the geometry on /dev/hda is
4864/255/63.  Therefore, cylinder 1024 ends at 8032,499M.

But the geometry (4864/255/63) isn´t correct. What can I do?
