parted don't lists any partitions on msdos disklabels:

fdisk shows them fine:
| # fdisk -l /dev/sda
| Disk /dev/sda: 36.4 GB, 36420075008 bytes
| 64 heads, 32 sectors/track, 34732 cylinders
| Units = cylinders of 2048 * 512 = 1048576 bytes
|
| Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
| /dev/sda1 1 979 1002480 fd Linux raid autodetect
| /dev/sda2 980 34732 34563072 fd Linux raid autodetect
