This is still there.  You can reproduce it with current gcc-snapshot
from unstable by running

CC=/usr/lib/gcc-snapshot/bin/gcc CXX=/usr/lib/gcc-snapshot/bin/g++ dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
