I’m just an innocent bystander [1].  I noticed your message about this
patch to debian-boot and thought it might be useful to get the ball
rolling.

[1] My interest in the s390 architecture comes from noticing that a
certain test from the git test suite fails more reliably there.  Any
arch with a buildd that makes bugs more obvious is an arch I am happy
to see succeed.
