Package: parted
Version: 2.3-5
Severity: important

I want to create freebsd partition for virtual machine in linux so I
run:

# parted /dev/vda

(parted) mklabel bsd
Warning: The existing disk label on /dev/vda will be destroyed and all
data on
this disk will be lost. Do you want to continue?

(parted) mkpart primary 64s -1s

for example with msdos it works fine

(parted) mklabel msdos

(parted) mkpart primary 64s -1s
Warning: The resulting partition is not properly aligned for best
