severity 526045 important
retitle 526045 while a testable depends path exists, another untestable is choosen which results in a false positive
#justification: produces false positives

Hi,

http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/fail/python-kde4-dev_4:4.2.2-3.log shows
failures due to failures in
http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/fail/shared-mime-info_0.60-2.log

Checking rdepends of python-kde4-dev gives:

aptitude why python-kde shared-mime-info
p   python-kde4-dev Depends  python-qt4 (>= 4.4.4)
p   python-qt4      Depends  python2.5 (>= 2.5)
iB  python2.5       Depends  libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8f-5)
i   libssl0.9.8     Depends  debconf (>= 0.5) | debconf-2.0
p   cdebconf        Provides debconf-2.0
p   cdebconf        Depends  libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.8.0)
i   libgtk2.0-0     Depends  shared-mime-info

debconf is in the state essential/required, so python-kde4-dev appears ready
to be tested. Then, apt-get chooses to install cdebconf, which is in the state
dependency-failed-testing... and so we get the false-positive in
python-kde4-dev.

I currently have no idea how to resolv this :-/

The other issue mentioned in this bug report, that some packages show up in
http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/state-$foo.html several times is easy to
resolve:
PackagesDB.get_packages_in_state() returns each provided package too, so
thats what cause this problem at three different places in piuparts-reports.
I expect to fix this issue soon and so this shouldnt be concern of this
bugreport.

regards,
	Holger
