[Piuparts-devel] Bug#526045: Patch

Attached is patch as described in my posting of  02 Jun 2011 23:23:39.

It needs some additional testing [ongoing here, but not the fastest 
equipment around ...].

I am on vacation for a couple of weeks, so if anyone has an opportunity 
to review and potentially test...

Notes:

1) The mods to piuparts-master.py are, strictly speaking, not required 
-- dump_pkgs() is not called, but I retained it for testing.

2) I am still concerned about remaining piuparts code reliance on value 
of package state -- Problem #3 noted on 02 Jun
