are you subscribed to the piuparts package in the PTS or do you need cc:s?

shows many packages where the first depends in an alternate depends is not 
installable. (eg depends: apache|apache2)

its not a bug in apt, its on in piuparts master slave mode.

piuparts master slave mode has its own dependency resolver, which doesnt take 
alternative depends into consideration.

thats the root of the problem.

or, IMO, rather, that packages specify alternative depends where the first one 
isnt fullfilable in main.
