the first patches fixes the tarball recreation issue of piuparts-slave,
initially addressed by Scott in his bug/recreate_tgz branch
the actual problem was:

I added 2 more patches to this series to have long running slaves
recreate their tarballs not only at startup and to create a logfile that
allows debugging e.g. the failed recreation of the tarball.
