Yeah. Christoph already reopened the bug (mainly because I didn't see your reply
because it was hidden deep into a days-old thread.)

And I can't see why. I overrided HOME in the packages and a package install here (with -pdfimport and
-presenter-connsole) did *NOT* create a tree in /root.
