version: 0.50
severity: wishlist
Hi,
<weasel> you're using pdiffs?
<h01ger> could be
<h01ger> we shouldnt
<weasel> I'm seeing rreds in top
<h01ger> "btw", in sid it doesnt seem to work anymore to just set
APT::Acquire::PDiffs "false"; - is still^wagain have pdiffs in my chroots here
too
<h01ger> "rgrep -i pdiff *" in the source tree reveals no hit. and as the
default is to use pdiffs, i assume we do. will file a wishlist bug for
defaulting to not to (as piuparts users will/should have reasoable bandwidth
or a proxy/mirror anyway)
(and assembling pdiffs uses quite a lot of cpu for the benefit of using less
bandwidth...)
cheers,
Holger
