      Revert "Revert Python 2.7 requirement upgrade, and remove dwke options."
      remove remaining support for $libdir/python2.6/dist-packages

I haven't tetsed this, yet, in production, but I haven#t been using
python2.6 for a long time ... and the packages still build.
