Hmm, apparently I failed to reply to this, so let's do it now. I'm not 
happy with openssl writing to my $HOME, but that's rather a misfeature 
than a bug. And it's a long-standing and documented misfeature, so I 
think it should be the 13 packages' job to work around it.

This line makes little sense out of context. Fortunately it's also not 
very relevant for this bug. :-)
