Hello piuparts developers,
thanks for maintaining an automatic package QA tool.
I noticed that the test on the apt-listbugs package (which I maintain)
has recently failed:
https://piuparts.debian.org/sid/fail/apt-listbugs_0.1.13.log
It seems that debsums found that file /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs was
apparently altered after installation, if I understand correctly.
However, I cannot figure out why debsums claims this inside the
piuparts test.
I performed the following checks:
$ dpkg -l | grep apt-listbugs | cut -c 1-70
ii apt-listbugs 0.1.13 all
$ dpkg-deb -x /var/cache/apt/archives/apt-listbugs_0.1.13_all.deb TEMP
$ diff -sq TEMP/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs /usr/sbin/
Files TEMP/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs and /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs are identical
$ cd / && md5sum -c /var/lib/dpkg/info/apt-listbugs.md5sums
usr/sbin/apt-listbugs: OK
[...]
$ echo $?
0
Inside a sid chroot:
# aptitude install debsums
[...]
# aptitude install apt-listbugs
[...]
Setting up apt-listbugs (0.1.13) ...
[...]
# debsums -ac apt-listbugs
# echo $?
0
I read the FAQ:
https://wiki.debian.org/piuparts/FAQ
but I failed to find anything relevant.
Now I am puzzled, I really cannot figure out what's wrong.
Is this a false positive?
Or maybe some more or less subtle issue with my package that I fail to
see?
Could you please shed some light on this mystery?
Thanks a lot for your time!
