no, dose3 is a source package, I would need to know which binary package you
have in mind :)

that said, you can do it yourself (though I was going to, until I realized I
lack the information from above…)

- clone git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/mirror/debian.org.git and provide a patch
  for the debian.org-piuparts-master.debian.org package in debian/control.
  I use ssh://git.debian.org/git/users/holger/debian.org.git to make my patches
  available to DSA.
- file a RT ticket and ask DSA there to merge your patch. This is most easily
  done by mailing admin at rt.debian.org and putting "Debian RT:" at the beginning
  of the subject. CC:ing piuparts-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org is also nice.
- wait and bit and see DSA act on this, usually this happens very fast for
  requests like these.
