though we could branch anytime and even upload to experimental earlier.

well, yes. I was planning to release 1.0 in roughly four months (a
release per month and 1.0 following on 0.99), so yes, it seems piuparts
1.0 will be the python3 version! or maybe the 2nd python3 version... :)
