hello piuparts folks,
first of all, thank for your work to make Debian better!
I'd like to ask you to give a try to the version of adequate in experimental,
and let me know if you see any issues that should block its upload to unstable
[0]
I've recently rewritten adequate and I'm reasonably confident that it can be
used as a drop-in replacement (--all output is identical pre/post rewrite in my
local system, autopkgtests pass), but you know, Debian is vast and diverse.
some minor differences do exist, the most notable of which I think is dropping
short-form flags [1]
thanks,
Serafeim
[0] technically, I still need to add debconf integration before that happens
[1] I can trivially implement that, but thought that it really doesn't matter
as short flags are bound to become ambiguous with the introduction of ever
more long flag names; happy to hear if any of you think strongly otherwise
