     ineffective)?
apt installemacspeak-ss

   * What was the outcome of this action?
ERROR: emacspeak-ss is broken - called emacs-package-install as a new-style add-on, but has no compat file.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
A clean install without obvious errors.
