Ubuntu sets some variables, I don't think we set much on ci.d.n. Ubuntu
runs in a VM, ci.d.n runs in a clean lxc.

In lxc, the connection is just sending commands via lxc-attach (I
think), not sure what that means for your question. I don't know how
Ubuntu attaches to its VMs.

A clean (bootstrapped) VM.
