Hi,
Many thanks for this report. 2 questions:
- does the bug in the file manager appear randomly or do you have a
reproductible scenario?
- have you reported too on the orca mailing list?
The next steps for me are to inform upstream of the problem in order to
get a fix in the definitive release orca 45. But I dont want to do
duplicate report. My report upstream also will include a debug file to
help the maintainer.
Thanks for your info
Best regards

> Dear Maintainer, I've noticed a bug in this version of orca, for some reason in the mate desktop, you could be navigating files with the file manager and orca sometimes fails to read file names even if the orca curser is on it, there is also a bug in the mate menu where orca will just keep reading, preferences menu when navigating the submenus of that menu
