Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Using xvkbd
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Fiddled with all the opetions under "properties," none of which made any difference. Also rebooted if that counts.
   * What was the outcome of this action? Unchanged.

   * What outcome did you expect instead? I hoped the color scheme would become stable, or at least usable. White on white is not usable. It's also an eye sore, almost literally.
