 The upstream source is licensed under BSD-2-clause. However, the 
 patches in debian/patches/ are licensed under GPL-2+. Therefore, 
 the combined work and the resulting binary packages are distributed 
 under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by 
 the Free Software Foundation, version 2 or later.

You can add it in debian/copyright line 4 as a Comment.
