Package: acpi-support
Version: 0.109-11
Severity: normal
Hi,
executing vbetool on a system running a kernel with KMS enabled will cause problems.
vbetool seems to disable the interrupt of the GPU which causes weird behaviour of X.
Since vbetool already tells in its manpage that it must not be run when X is running,
I'd argue that this is less a bug in vbetool but rather one in the scripts of acpi-support
that end up executing vbetool.
See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20896 for more information on
the issue.
ciao
