Package: acpi-support
Version: 0.136-3
Severity: important
New kernels (since some time before 2.6.32) synthesize XF86 keyboard event themselves (at least in asus_acpi and eeepc-laptop, but from a look at the sources I reckon it's generally true for modules in drivers/platform/x86); since acpi-support does it too, the keystrokes are reported twice.
This is obviously a problem for things like muting and brightness.
Cheers,
Luca
