[Pkg-acpi-devel] Bug#602128: ACPI Conflict (Hardware in risk)

Hi,
I'm having some problems with Debian Squeeze.
Starting the PC (boot), I get these messages:

[    5.679226] i801_smbus 0000:00:1f.3: PCI INT C -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 18
[    5.679231] ACPI: I/O resource 0000:00:1f.3 [0x400-0x41f] conflicts with ACPI region SMRG [0x400-0x40f]
[    5.679276] ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver

Now the bad news: I read some articles that are related to this, and something really worried me: sometimes the software (used by Linux) may end up by setting incorrect voltages/clock speed values to the hardware and damage it. (source: http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/FAQ/Chapter3#Mysensorshavestoppedworkinginkernel2.6.31)

QUESTIONS:

I would like to know how can I ensure that my hardware was not damaged by this conflict. Any procedures?
And, to solve this problem, what can I do to fix the conflict?

My hardware: Intel i3 530 2,93Ghz, 4GB RAM, ASUS P7H55M-BR, SAMSUNG HD 250GB, SEAGATE HD 80GB, LG DVDRW, C3 TECH 500W POWER SYPPLY.
