It seems do work on mips64el

(sid-mips64el-manual)root at buildd-ym:/sys# acpi -V
Battery 0: Full, 100%
Battery 0: design capacity 4300 mAh, last full capacity 4120 mAh = 95%
Adapter 0: on-line
No support for device type: thermal
No support for device type: thermal

(sid-mips64el-manual)root at buildd-ym:/sys# uname -a
Linux buildd-ym 3.6-trunk-loongson-3a #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 3.6.12-1
mips64 GNU/Linux

This is a chroot environment of mips64el, on loongson3A laptop.
The main system of this laptop is a mipsel squeeze with a mips64el 3.6 kernel.
