Package: acpi-support-base
Version: 0.141-2
Severity: important
In the past, shortly pressing the power button of my laptop had
no effect. But now it does a shutdown:
Jan 5 23:08:43 xvii acpid: received input layer event "button/power PBTN 00000080 00000000"
Jan 5 23:08:43 xvii acpid: rule from 2994[0:0] matched
Jan 5 23:08:43 xvii acpid: notifying client 2994[0:0]
Jan 5 23:08:43 xvii acpid: rule from /etc/acpi/events/powerbtn-acpi-support matched
Jan 5 23:08:43 xvii acpid: executing action "/etc/acpi/powerbtn-acpi-support.sh"
Jan 5 23:08:44 xvii shutdown[4191]: shutting down for system halt
Jan 5 23:08:44 xvii init: Switching to runlevel: 0
Jan 5 23:08:44 xvii acpid: action exited with status 0
Jan 5 23:08:44 xvii acpid: 2 total rules matched
Jan 5 23:08:44 xvii acpid: completed input layer event "button/power PBTN 00000080 00000000"
This is bad in particular for a laptop, as it is easy to accidentally
shut down the machine, hebce the long press feature. I found that it
had already been buggy in the past, then fixed:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=603791
and now it is buggy again.
