Package: acpi-support
Version: 0.141-4
Followup-For: Bug #706910

I actually think this bug is not 100% fixed.

The preinst script contains the code to remove the old conffiles since

    if dpkg --compare-versions "$2" lt 0.141-2; then
        rm_conffile acpi-support /etc/acpi/asus-brn-down.sh
        rm_conffile acpi-support /etc/acpi/asus-brn-up.sh
        rm_conffile acpi-support /etc/acpi/events/asus-brightness-down
        rm_conffile acpi-support /etc/acpi/events/asus-brightness-up

This means that on upgrade, the files will never be removed if the user
is upgrading from 0.141-2 but only if they are upgrading from version
before this one.

Shouldn't the 'lt' be changed to 'le' (less or equal)?
