Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.04-1
Since updating alsa-utils arecord is no longer useful unless -d
<timeout> is present. It seems it is taking absence of -d as timeout of
zero meaning zero duration. That means it quits immediately.
Possibly an Alsa rather than a Debian problem.
Aptitude log: [UPGRADE] alsa-utils 1.0.3-1 -> 1.0.4-1
uname: Linux Penguin 2.4.23 #1 Fri Jan 16 22:43:52 GMT 2004 i686 GNU/Linux
Debian: sid, alsa driver version: 0.9.8
