First, shouldn't this be handled by MAKEDEV? ALSA is now apart of the
mainline kernel. Shouldn't MAKEDEV be able to handle regeneration of the
proper nodes?

Second, if it is MAKDEVs responsibility, it already has a checked for devfs.
Why doesn't it check for udev as well - just saving these checks being
replicated between packages? (like alsa-base)
