Don't bother, there is no reason to change its name.

A different approach would be using mountpoint(1) to check if /dev is a
mount point. This would detect both devfs and udev.

Anyway, the latest makedev package will DTRT so alsa-base will not need
do anything to work with udev and this bug should be closed.
