-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.5a

The script /etc/apm/event.d/alsa in the alsa-base package
requires the command "stat" to be working, but the stat
Debian package is optional. Either the script is to be changed
or alsa-base is to be made dependent on stat.

Best wishes
		Volker

steven@broken:~/debian/build% which stat
/usr/bin/stat
steven@broken:~/debian/build% dpkg -S /usr/bin/stat
coreutils: /usr/bin/stat
steven@broken:~/debian/build% apt-cache show coreutils| grep Essent
Essential: yes

coreutils provides stat, and is Essential, which means no dependancy
is required.
