Package: alsa-base
Version: 0.9.8-1
Severity: important

It appears that when alsa-base is configured to use the ymfpci module it
places a line in /etc/modutils/alsa with snd-ymfpci. This line is then
(as i understand it) placed in /etc/modules.conf when update-modules is
run. There is no such module as snd-ymfpci - i can only find ymfpci.
Changing snd-ymfpci to ymfpci in /etc/modutils/alsa, running
update-modules and restarting appears to fix this problem.
Unfortunately, every time i upgrade alsa-base it seems to overwrite this
and i have to go through this procedure again.

Thanks

Roger Galligan

Hi,

This bug has been sitting untouched now for over 200 days, so
I am closing it. The issue is that the ymfpci module name is the OSS
driver, not the ALSA driver.

Cheers,

game from ten years ago.
