Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.5a-2
Severity: critical

After upgrading from 1.0.5a-1 to 1.0.5a-2, the system fails to boot with
my kernel 2.6.7-1 (stops after loading snd-emu10k1-synth module). It
boots with an old 2.4 kernel. Downgrading to 1.0.5a-1 solves the matter

I was going to reply to the bug report saying that I couldn't
reproduce the problem, but you beat me to it saying that upgrading
module-init-tools fixed the problem.

Closing the bug report.

Cheers,
