I'm not sure I'm reporting it to the right package... sorry for the
inconvenience.

If usbdevfs isn't mounted on /proc/bus/usb, then the snd-usb-audio
module gives warnings at insmod-time, and crashes the usb subsystem when
used...

Mounting usbdevfs fixes that, but is only a workaround: it is the only
usb driver I know that has this behaviour, so I guess it is there that
things must be fixed.
